Made from recycled cotton twill, it's perfect for casual outings, travel, or weekends spent exploring the outdoors. A refined accessory that combines functional design with a subtle nod to the natural world. This special ZSL cap celebrates the playful and inquisitive nature of the black-capped squirrel monkey, while helping to raise awareness of the challenges the species faces in the wild.Black-capped squirrel monkeys are native to the Amazon rainforests of Peru, Brazil and Bolivia, where they live in large social groups of up to 500 individuals. Agile and energetic, they spend their days foraging for insects, fruit and seeds among the trees. Despite their small size, reaching around 25–35cm tall, they have the largest brain relative to body size of any primate.Although still relatively common in the wild, black-capped squirrel monkeys are increasingly threatened by hunting for food, medical research and the pet trade, and their population is in decline. ZSL are working to support conservation and breeding programmes that help protect this species and secure its future.Every journey tells a story, and this cap is designed to inspire adventure with purpose, carrying with it a message of conservation, hope and a future where squirrel monkeys continue to thrive in the wild. For more information, please visit www.zsl.org
